Research

MAS students must complete a thesis as a program requirement. The thesis topic is chosen by the students based on their academic or professional experience.

Research areas include: climate change impacts on water resources, integrated water resources management, nature based solutions, etc.

The thesis research takes place throughout the duration of the MAS program and is supervised by a senior scientist or professor.

The focus of the MAS thesis can be identified as follows:

  1. Research can address a relevant issue in the student's home country. For some examples, see abstracts of recent graduates or completed thesis topics.
  2. Research can be selected from the list of thesis topics of the Chair of Hydrology and Water Resources Management.
  3. Research can be chosen in collaboration with an external institution such as external pageEawag
